FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE PROGRAM
Our parish community is committed to helping families and
individuals facing financial emergencies meet their basic needs, such as food, clothing, housing and utilities.
It is our privilege and our duty to respond to our brothers and sisters who come to us in the guise of Christ, who are in need either because of unforeseen events or the systemic consequences of injustices in our society.
In addition to our financial assistance program, our partnership with Northwest Assistance Ministries and Catholic Charities offers parishioners and community members access to a wide range of services, including assistance with food and clothing, employment and housing searches, temporary housing, domestic violence counseling and psychotherapy among others.
Charity requires us to consider each situation on a case by case basis. However, for non-registered parishioners, our financial assistance program is limited to the following zip codes: 77068, 77069, 77070. 77379, 77388, and 77375.
We are very happy to help you find other resources regardless of where you live.
If you are in danger of being evicted or having your electricity or water turned off, please call our office to schedule an appointment. We require financial emergencies to be documented with proof of income, job loss or unforeseen emergency expenses, among other items. When you make your appointment, someone will instruct you on what will be needed.
We take assistance appointments on Wednesdays from 10 a.m. to Noon. Please call Monica in the Outreach Office to schedule a visit at 281-290-4606 or email at mhatcher@silcc.org All appointments are confidential.
“Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.”
