Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston

Grace Disability Ministry

The Grace Disability Ministry strives to welcome persons with disabilities to parish events and offer assistance so that they can more readily attend Mass. We offer scheduled catechesis, spiritual support and social opportunities. We invite and encourage families to become active in our parish programs where they can be welcomed and accepted into the full life of the church.

A monthly 'Saturday Social" event is scheduled for the 2nd Saturday of each month. Families are invited to gather in the Christus Center at 6:30 p.m. for a potluck dinner and activities such as movies, Xbox tournaments, and game nights. (Click on link for more information.) Families may also attend the Saturday 5:15 p.m. Mass; an optional catechesis class if offered in the Christus Center during mass.

Ministry Coordinators:
Mary Wright (281) 290-4618
Juliana Lilly (281) 288-7008

Sacramental Preparation:
By welcoming developmentally disabled people through the waters of Baptism, the oil of anointing in Confirmation, the consecrated bread and wine of the Eucharist and the peace and joy of Reconciliation, the parish builds up the Body of Christ. If you have a family member with a disability who has not prepared and received sacraments, please contact Mary Wright, Director of Children's Formation.

Volunteers Needed:
At times volunteers who have experience working with persons with disabilities are needed to lead classes or to assist at social events. If you are called to this ministry, please contact Mary Wright.
